The 2026 Skrive Organization Writing Competition has concluded, and we are happy to present the outstanding writers whose essays stood out amongst the many other great essays we received in this year’s competition.
This annual event gives participants the opportunity to share their unique perspectives on topics that are beyond the standard curriculum and encourage literary excellence. This year, we received over 180 entries, which was over 60% of our initial expectation. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of young Ghanaians interested in writing, for it revealed a vibrant and thriving literary spirit that far exceeded our expectations.
Once the deadline for submissions was over, we handed over all entries to our panel of literary professional which included published authors, editors, and educators for evaluation . The panel carefully read through each essay and each piece was assessed on four key criteria:
Originality – Fresh ideas and unique perspectives.
Craftsmanship – Quality of writing, structure, and style.
Alignment with the theme – Each argument should reinforce the theme.
Overall Cohesion – How well all elements worked together.
We are thrilled to share and celebrate our top 3 winners of the 2026 Skrive Organization Essay Competition,
and we congratulate all winners and extend our gratitude to every participant for contributing to a fierce and inspiring competition
